Press operation / FX die block material / 3 step operation buster, blocker, finisher: Large detail impression (forging weight 25 lbs) increased die life of unwelded FX blocks from 4000 pieces per run to a 5 year average of 18,000+ per run through a combination of cobalt overlay on the busters and a composite flood weld on the blockers and finishers. An example of our consistent quality through a comprehensive die welding and heat treating process.

2. Press operation / FX2 die block material / 3 step operation buster, blocker, finisher / Forging automotive crankshaft: Increased die life by 60% over our competitor’s results through better weld alloy selection and a comprehensive die welding and heat treating process.

3. Press operation / FX material / 3 step operation buster, blocker, finisher: German company with in-house welding capabilities and extensive welding experience. Acquired work through increased die life due to alloy selection to meet impressions requirements. Other dies are outsourced to us due to the difficulty of overlaying detailed impressions, we achieve better quality at a lower price than the in-house welding facility, even after factoring in shipping cost.

4. Press operation / FX material / 3 step operation performer, blocker, finisher: Gained work due to inconsistent quality of prior weld facility. Started as 1 of 4 weld shops doing work, now we are 1 of 2 weld shops. We are now doing 90% of their work. This is due to consistent quality, excellent die life & dependable, fast turn around.

5. Press operation / FX2 die block material / 3 step operation performer, blocker, finisher (round dies): Doubled die life of unwelded dies through alloy selection and a comprehensive die welding and heat treating process. Instead of a maximum of 5 resinks the same blocks have been kept in service for years due to welding.
