Gripper Jaws
Gripper (or manipulator) jaws used in the forging process are exposed to extreme temperatures and pressures. Eventually the jaw wears beyond tolerance causing difficulty in gripping the ingot or leaving undesired marks on the ingot. While some weld shops will opt to repair your jaw with standard tool steel, this is only a short term fix. Absolute welding will flood weld your die with alloys that will drastically extend the life of your jaws ensuring you stay running longer.
